Asian Mushrooms

It was an amazing summer of 2016 for me and my children. We spent two incredible weeks in Vietnam and also squeezed in five additional fun-filled days in Tha-long-bayhailand. It had been 13 years since I’ve been back to Vietnam. Everything changed and advanced so much. I appreciated and treasured every moment with my family as often as I could. As I grow older and hopefully wiser, I appreciate the Vietnamese culture so much more. I embrace the uniqueness in me as I hope to inspire my children to embrace the uniqueness in themselves.

Everyone is the same and yet we are different and unique in many subtle ways. We each see the world in our own special way. As a common example, one can see a glass half empty while another sees the glass half full and yet others see something else in between. The biggest lesson that reminds me throughout my Vietnam journey is to accept and love myself as who I was, who I am today, and who I will be tomorrow. From that, I find peace within myself. That is deep.

Besnailssides my own contemplation of life, while traveling in Vietnam, we ate and ate and ate. We were very well fed by our families. My children were introduced to escargot. I enjoyed watching their expression while they were gnawing on the snails. It put a smile on my face every time I think about it. Yes, there were dog and cat cuisines. However, we were not brave enough to detour to those specialized restaurants.

I have so much to share about mychatrung traveling experience that it can’t be done in one e-newsletter. Join Pho Queen for tea and a demonstration of how to make Vietnamese mushroom Omelet, “Chả Trứng” and share your traveling experiences/stories with Pho Queen. Our topic is going to be on Asian mushrooms and no, Pho Queen didn’t consume any strange mushrooms during the Vietnam trip. 😉

Savior the moment with her in tasting the delicious Vietnamese Omelet on August 21, 2016, at the Maitland Library at 3 pm. Please RSVP to 407-647-7700. There are multiple spring roll demonstrations in the month of August (8/4, 8/17, & 8/31). Check for more details at https://tastyphoqueen.com/demo/.
